Metabox is a relative new-comer to the shores of the US. They are a German company now selling their joeCARDs in North America. They have announced price cuts on 3 or their upgrades that are compatible with most PCI based Macintoshes.

In addition to selling G3 and G4 upgrade cards, Metabox also has a 2 lines of FireWire drives for sale.

Below we explore what performance gain you will see with these cards installed in the machines they are made for. We also take a comparative look at the price/performance equation of each card.
