The G4 Lap Dog From Tom Bihn
With the first few Titanium PowerBooks starting to show up at people's doors, the question of how to take them on the road arises. Lets face it, the new form factor (1" thick and 15.2" screen) is great but it also renders most laptop cases useless. Enter the G4 Lap Dog from Tom Bihn.

Measuring 14" x 11 1/2" x 2", the G4 Lap Dog holds your PowerBook suspended in an adjustable foam sling. The next layer is a stiff corrugated plastic which, in turn, is covered with rugged 500 Denier Cordura. According to Tom Bihn, the sling arrangement provides added protection if you should drop your PowerBook. The Lap dog has a front pocket made of stretch Cordura which can accommodate your power supply, cables and/or external drive, but not much else. If you want to tote more goodies around, the Lap Dog snaps in to Tom Bihn's Grand Central shoulder bag or the Brain Bag backpack which has been redesigned to accommodate the new Lap Dog. If you don't care for this modular approach, Tom is working on new G4 designs.

The Tom Bihn brand is one we are familiar with. Tom had a store in our home town for many years and would craft custom bags based on the customer's specific needs. Although we don't own any personally, Tom's products have the reputation of being top notch. The G4 Lap Dog is expected to ship early next month.
