Product Watch: Highly Rated USB Capable Digital Camera Wants To Make Nice With Your Mac

Kodak DC256 Zoom Digital Camera

The Kodak DC265 Zoom Digital Camera is the follow-on product to the DC260 with significant modifications. Kodak says that the DC265 is much faster starting up and processing than its predecessor. Its multi-picture burst capability has been tripled and it has a longer battery life. It is capable of 1.6 million (1536 X 1024) pixel resolution which Kodak says will give you enough detail for photo-realistic 8" X 10" prints.

The camera has a 3X optical zoom plus a 2X digital zoom which allows you to get up to 12" from your subject without losing image quality. The multi-picture burst capability lets you take 24 sequential pictures at standard resolution and 6 at high. The camera comes with a 16MB Kodak Picture Card which can store from 28 - 180 photos depending on resolution, quality and subject matter of the image.

A recent Macworld review gave the DC265 Zoom 4 mice out of a possible five
