Request a Comparison between any two Macs
Computer Trade In Program
Hi John,
The thing about machines with multiple processors is that in many instances you get more power than you are capable of using. In our testing we were not able to max out the 4 processors of the Quad machine when using Photoshop. The best we could do was 60% overall. To take full advantage of of the machine, you would need some kind of multitasking strategy. In this way you could push the machine to its limit.
That being said the more processing capacity (as opposed to speed ... which is important too), you have, the more flexible will be your work environment ... The ability to run multiple applications, carrying out multiple processor intensive tasks at once.
Your comparison follows below ...

Hello,
I would like to determine if the jump from Dual Core 2.3 to Quad Core 2.5 is worth the price. Specifically, have you compared M9591LL/A versus M9592LL/A ? I am interested largely in Photoshop usage.
Thank you,
John
