Hi Alex,
Your comparison follows below ...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mac mini 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo versus Power Mac Dual G4/1.25GHz
Mac mini 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo - MA206LL/A - February 2006
Power Mac Dual G4/1.25GHz M8840LL/A -- January, 2003
** This application does not yet run native on the Intel processor
++ The processor scores above are based on CineBench 9.5 (email us to request the actual point scores for these machines)

A note on performance. Because of the time difference between when we tested these two machines, some of the scores above are estimates based on adjusted, original data. Unfortunately we are only able to provide a limited performance comparison between these two machines.
The processor scores above are based on an application that runs natively on the Intel processor. If you are using applications that are processor intensive that have not been updated to run natively on the Intel chip the performance of the Intel Mac mini will be worse. This will change once applications have been made universal.

Hi there. Interested in buying the new Mac Mini ( 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo processor) with more RAM of course to replace my older G4 (Dual 1.25 GHz PowerPC)
It looks like the comparison you did was with the single processor version of the G4. Is that correct?
If the new machine is worth getting, I'll definately look to go through your sponsors.
